As our Revenues and Benefit Contract Manager, you’ll take on a wide range of work supporting our Business Rates, Council Tax and Benefit service. Your projects will help us continuously improve our services, securing better value for money and taking us closer to our ambitious ‘City for All’ objectives.
This is a varied and challenging role with considerable scope, giving you the chance to gain valuable experience while working for a high-profile local authority. You’ll work on a number of financial and service improvement projects, including modelling and analysis, policy and strategy implementation, technical guidance and stakeholder management. All of which support the overall business aims of the Council.

You should have experience in handling large revenue budgets and delivering a revenue or benefits service. You should also combine strong business acumen with an up-to-date knowledge of all relevant legislation.
In addition, you should also have active debt management experience in a public environment, with the ability to drive change and influence others. Outstanding communication skills are a must, and you will have a solid understanding of financial techniques and methodologies.
In terms of qualifications, you should have IRRV certification or be working towards this.
