We are looking for a Senior Debt Recovery Officer to join our Revenues and Benefits service.

Since 2010, Public Sector Partnership Services has been delivering services for East Lindsey and South Holland District Councils, and, having just secured another 10 year contract, we are looking to recruit into this busy service as we move into a period of transformation.

The Position
As a Senior Debt Recovery Officer, you will work as part of a team responsible primarily for the efficient and effective recovery and enforcement of Council Tax and Business Rates, but also supporting recovery of sundry debt and Housing Benefit overpayment. 
Experience in a local authority, or similar, revenues environment is essential.  Ideally you will have experience in the recovery of debt, and be familiar with bankruptcy and insolvency administration. As a Senior Debt Recovery Officer you will be required to attend and represent our client Councils at Magistrates Court hearings. 

The role will involve helping customers in writing, by telephone and face to face and you must be able to communicate often complex information in a clear, assertive, but empathetic way.

Candidates should note that whilst there is a choice of Manby or Spalding as a work base location, there is an expectation of travel between sites, to court and to undertake debt recovery visits.

The ability to interpret information, with attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with high standards of customer care. Above all, you must be enthusiastic, with a keen desire to contribute to the continuous improvement and development of our debt recovery service, and be flexible to meet the needs of the service.
