An opportunity has arisen to join the IT Applications Systems team here in Bath & North East Somerset Council. You will have a lead role working as part of a small team to deliver systems support for a range of applications such as Northgate Revenues & Benefits; answering user queries, dealing with system issues, upgrades and maintaining system integrity.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working across a range of IT applications; we are particualrly looking for someone with a good working knowledge of Northgate Revenues & Benefits and the ability to use Microsoft office at a professional level. Previous experience of systems administration is preferable.

Experience of delivering first line support and problem resolution is desirable as is data extraction skills such as SQL and business objects.

Candidates should demonstrate they are able to use their initiative & prioritise in a customer driven reactive environment; with a passion for accuracy and attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects to introduce new functionality & develop the applications to support high quality service delivery.

Your main place of work will be the award-winning, modern Civic Centre in Keynsham, halfway between Bath and Bristol, easily accessible via car or public transport, with a train station 5 minutes walk away. We operate a flexible working policy here in Bath & North East Somerset with the option to work at other sites or at home; currently due to Covid 19 the majority of our staff are safely working at home.
