If so, Public Sector Partnership Services might have just the job for you as a Housing Benefit Overpayment Recovery Officer.

 

Working in the Revenues and Benefits service, you will be part of a small team responsible for the collection and recovery of debts. 

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Revenues and Benefits Service working in a "One Team" environment. As a Housing Benefit Overpayment Recovery Officer, you will support the prompt, efficient and accurate billing, collection and recovery of housing benefit overpayments and sundry debts for our company and client council's.

 

This role gives you the opportunity to make a real difference to the wider community and the public services they are provided. It allows you to widen your existing skills and helps you develop as an individual within our high performing service.

 

 Typical duties will include:

  • Updating and maintaining accurate customer records
  • Dealing professionally with customers, including negotiating payment arrangements
  • Making decisions on actions to recover outstanding debt.

 

What we need from you:

  • Able to work accurately with attention to detail.
  • Experience, and confidence, dealing with customers
  • Strong IT skills, and experience in data and information processing
  • An eye for detail
  • A team player, who is highly motivated, with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Excellent organisational and communication (verbal and written) skills
