This is an exciting opportunity to lead and supervise the Enforcement Team in the Local Taxation Section within Conwy County Borough Council. This is a permanent position within the Revenue and Benefits Assessment Service, based at the Coed Pella Offices in Colwyn Bay.

The post holder will be required to develop, establish, maintain and control systems and records in connection with the collection and debt recovery process of the County Borough Council.  Responsibilities will include dealing with various aspects relating to the preparation, maintenance, monitoring of systems and records (including computer applications) relating to the Enforcement Team and the supervision of staff required to carry out these tasks. To provide an efficient and effective service to the public and the Authority in order to maximise income and adopt a holistic approach to debt recovery.

The post holder must have the ability to learn, interpret, apply and explain all legislation appropriate to this role including the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007, the Taking Control of Goods Regulations 2013 and Taking Control of Goods (Fees) Regulations 2014. To additionally maintain a full working knowledge of legislation and regulations relating to multiple debts owing to the Authority.

The post holder will be required to undertake a Basic DBS Check for this role and this will be undertaken by the Authority.
