We are looking for enthusiastic and positive individuals to work as part of our friendly Revenues Team. You will be involved in all aspects of the billing, collection, and recovery of Council Tax, including maintaining computerised records, chasing unpaid debt, and providing advice and support to customers through various channels in order to support with debt resolution.
This role will be working with our partner council Horsham District Council & your place of work will be the Horsham District Council offices.

Key responsibilities
· Updating the Council’s Council Tax billing system to ensure that bills issued are correct and in accordance with the appropriate regulations, legislation, and guidance.
· Undertake all necessary duties for the efficient billing, collection, and recovery of the Council Tax.
· Liaising with stakeholders, including enforcement agencies, employers for attachments and other Council departments where required.
· Understand and meet the needs of our customers and identify and signpost customers in need of debt management or other advice.
· Communicating with customers via phone to discuss and negotiate payment options.
Ideal Candidate
Please note, should be offered the role, as part of the pre-employment checks a basic DBS will be actioned for you and BPSS checks including three-year worth of references.
