We are looking to recruit to our friendly established hard-working Income and Collections team.
With responsibility to collect Council Tax, National Non-Domestic Rates and Housing Benefit Overpayments.
Duties for the Income & Collection Advisor will be:
We are looking for an individual who has strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as to have the ability to make difficult decisions showing tact and diplomacy. You will be handling calls from customers, agreeing repayment plans, following up on agreed actions and taking recovery action when required. Proven ability to work on your own initiative to achieve deadlines and to use your own discretion and judgement will be essential. Strong organisational and time management skills along with strong attention to detail is required.
You will ideally have financial or debt recovery experience, be a dedicated, meticulous person who is a proven team player. An ability to navigate around basic IT systems is essential along with a desire to learn new information and skills. You will be reporting to the Income and Collection Team Leader, and full training will be given to the successful candidate.
This position will be based at our main offices in Narborough with hybrid working available when full training has been completed.
This role will require a basic Disclosure and Barring Service check (known as a DBS check). All offers of employment will be made conditional upon receipt of the satisfactory DBS check.
