Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for graduates who have completed, or are due to complete, a RICS-accredited degree aligned to the RICS Valuation pathway or any of the pathways listed in the Essential Criteria section below. Our graduate training programme offers the opportunity to develop your professional skills and gain practical experience across a range of property and valuation work and includes structured support through the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) programme, enabling you to work towards achieving Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) status.
The Valuation Office (VO) offers a dynamic and fast-paced working environment where no two days are the same. As a Graduate Surveyor, you will undertake property inspections, collect and analyse property, rental and market evidence, and apply valuation principles, legislation and professional judgement to support accurate valuation and taxation decisions. Working as part of a supportive and knowledgeable team, you will manage your own case load, prioritising activities to ensure compliance with statutory timescales and organisational commitments.
The work you undertake is subject to business need and will see you play an active role in delivering valuation outcome as part of a high-quality surveying and valuation service. Working alongside Chartered Surveyors will strengthen your technical and professional capabilities along with providing the opportunity to build professional networks.

To be successful in this role, you will be naturally curious, motivated to learn, and enthusiastic about developing your knowledge of surveying, valuation and the wider property profession. You will be committed to your personal and professional development, proactively seeking opportunities to build the skills, experience and technical expertise required to succeed in the role and support your progression towards Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) status through the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).

Hold a full UK / EU driving licence – a provisional licence is accepted at the time of application, however a FULL licence must be attained and evidenced within 6 months of take up date.

Qualifications
Undergraduate Eligibility Criteria:
Hold a RICS accredited Real Estate or Valuation degree at 2:2 or above OR will expect to hold one by 30th July 2027.
Please note your qualification must be fully complete and awarded by this date.
OR
Post Graduate Eligibility Criteria:
Hold a RICS accredited Masters in Real Estate or Valuation
