Do you have the drive and enthusiasm to deliver financial support to local people? This is an exciting opportunity to work within NNDC as part of the Benefits Service.

The Benefits Officer post is a varied and integral part of our team, providing valuable daily support to our fast paced service, you will assist with the administration of the Test & Trace Support Payments, administer all aspects of Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support, and Discretionary Housing Payments.

You will deliver customer service excellence by telephone, in writing or face to face, to provide or collect and process information in response to enquiries, requests.

Learning on the job with full support provided, you will have experience of dealing with customers as well as the ability to use a range of computer applications. You will be a confident communicator and decision maker who is able to work as part of a team as well as independently. You will be dedicated and committed and will positively embrace change.

Appointment to this post is subject to a satisfactory Baseline Personnel Security (BPSS) check, which includes a basic DBS verification of unspent criminal records.
