Join the Shared Revenues Partnership as a Revenues and Inspection Team Leader!

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to lead a fast-paced Revenues and Inspection team within the Shared Revenues Partnership. Reporting to the Revenues Manager, you'll play a vital role in overseeing daily operations and ensuring high standards of service delivery across three local authorities: Babergh District Council, Ipswich Borough Council, and Mid Suffolk District Council.

In this key leadership position, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing and guiding your team to deliver effective and accurate administration of Council Tax, Non-Domestic Rates, and Housing Benefit Overpayments.
  • Ensuring compliance with agreed policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement across all revenue collection activities.

You should have:

  • 2 A-levels, an ONC/OND or an NVQ level 4 and/or 3 years qualitative experience
  • Previous experience in a billing/collection or recovery environment
  • In-depth knowledge of Revenues legislation and the ability to interpret and apply it to complex and contentious issues.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff in a performance focused culture.
  • Demonstrate effective presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
  • Ability to negotiate and mediate effectively.

DBS clearance is required for this role.

We are based at Grafton House, Russell Road, Ipswich. Hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday.

This is a hybrid working role (a minimum of 1 day per week working in the office).
