All about the Role
The Revenues and Benefits Service has a vital role in the billing, collection and recovery of Council Tax, Business Rates and Sundry Debt
We currently have an opportunity to join our team as the Local Taxation Manager, reporting to the Head of Shared Transactional Services.
You will managed and lead your team leaders to ensure the delivery of efficient and effective Council Tax, Business Rates and Sundry Debt administration and collection.
In addition to organising and managing three team leaders, you will take a lead on the technical and complex aspects related to the provision of local taxation services to customers.
What you will need to do the role:
This role requires the ideal candidate to have significant experience in working within a Council Tax and Business Rates department, ideally using the MRI One Revs and Bens (Academy) system. Alternative relevant experience on other equivalent local taxation systems will be considered.
Ideally you will also have experience and competency in the use of Information@work and demonstrable supervisory experience delivering local taxation services to customers, including knowledge and experience of Sundry Debt recovery and enforcement processes.
